Pink Lemonade is a new pink-fruited Vaccinium ashei hybrid bred by Mark Ehlenfeldt (USDA) of Chatsworth, New Jersey. The fruits are medium sized, bright pink, with good firmness and flavor.
The plant is compact and upright. Foliage is bright green and semi persistent. Pink Lemonade is hardy and vigorous, and will adapt well to a wide range of soils and climates. Its fertility is not well known, but like a number of other Rabbit-eye varieties, Pink Lemonade may not be completely self-fertile. It is recommended to plant it next to another Vaccinium ashei.
