Raspberry plants
Floricane
Primocane
Also called “summer-bearing raspberries”, it is actually the traditional form of raspberries. Harvest is carried out by shoots grown on the previous year and after the chilling requirement has been fulfilled. Harvest happens generally in early summer.
Also called “fall-bearing raspberries”; primocanes bear fruits on the current season’s shoots without the necessity to satisfy any dormancy.
Because primocanes do not have to pass throw the winter, major cane diseases such as Didymella and Leptosphaeria are not a matter to worry about.
