Colibri is an early season southern highbush with firm fruits and small picking scar. Brix-to-acid ratio is high. Fruit size is maintained throughout the harvesting period. Three passes are generally necessary. Maturity is about one week before the variety Star. Light blue bloom remains after harvest. Fruits can be stored for 21 days at temp. 0,5 to 4,4°C. Pollinated and non-pollinated fruits are approximately the same size, thus suitable for greenhouse production. It’s chilling requirements is estimated at 200 hours. The upright shape of the plant and its spread-out fruit make for easy picking.
